Pure white, lightfast and age-resistant primer for oil and acrylic colours with strong absorbent character similar to half-chalk ground (Gesso). The elastic film dries matt and is resistant to oil of turpentine and water.
Application: Dilute Schmincke primer 1 with water (10 to max. 30 %) and apply with a brush 3-4 times on the surface. The temperature of the object should not be less than 8°C. If the surface is extremely absorbent like natural canvas, it should be treated with size/pre-primer with which the absorbency can be reduced to a certain extent and then be tinted with acrylic colours.
